I lived in the 1500’s, and I was the one in Inca civilization. Somehow, we wanted to strengthen our culture, and tried to grab attentions from the whole world. However, the Spanish broke our dreams, and we were all collapsed. The empire was totally lost his position by Spaniards’ attack.
Before the night of Spanish conquering, we were doing our chores happily. I was farming with my llama and my horse that could bring me to keep organizing the animals. Sometimes, I used a long rob which could be used for threaten the animals while I was riding a horse. Obviously, horse could be used for many different ways such as involve a fight. Furthermore, we ourselves were normal people who built houses with woods and created boats with burned trees. Anyhow, we all lived just as normal.
I was March, but I forgot the specific day. The Spanish arrived; they had over six hundred people with some sixty horses. Overall, there was a large force at the moment which we could not know how to handle it. They had long saws which we did not make any of them. However, we had guns though, and we knew how to perform a horse fight. Therefore, none of us should afraid of the Spanish. While we were all waiting, we worked up a pan which was to kidnap the Sapa Inca, Atahualpa.
I got a new from a person, it said that “It was not long after this that the Spanish first arrived. The Spanish had heard about the fabled cities of gold from the conquered people who lived along fertile strips in the Coastal Desert.” (Incas.mrdonn.org) There were closed to us, therefore, we should have ready to protect ourselves, and everyone started getting nervous about the war.
The next day, the battle began; there were no first-hand records of the battle survive. Unfortunately, we got only around 50,000 warriors. Although they encountered by a small Spanish mounted patrol, it did not seem helping us at all. (As the website said, “Rumiñahui's captains repeatedly rallied the men to fight and the Spanish were pursued all the way back to their camp, although they were able to keep the native army from entering as dusk fell. During the night, the Spanish forces slipped away, not wanting to push their luck.” – Latin American history)
No matter how Spanish crashed us so bad, we did our best to protect our own civilization. Although our king had collasped and left out, we still the best creators of guns and stuff to produce our life to become better.
